Techniche Global is supporting a specialist precision engineering supplier to the Aerospace, Defence, and Oil & Gas industries in appointing a Quality Engineer to join their team in Redruth, Cornwall. Key Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:

FAIR creation to AS9102 including dimensional measurement and report creation.
Final inspection of component parts from external subcontractors.
Programming and ensuring the correct use of automated measuring equipment including coordinate measurement machines, optical measuring systems, profile measurement equipment, and surface test equipment.
Inspection of in-house manufactured components.
In-house gauge calibration and procurement.

Skills and Experience Required:

A passion for learning and skill development.
Attention to detail.
Engineering and manufacturing experience.
A knowledge of measurement and inspection techniques.
A background in either machining or inspection.
Good computer skills.
A willingness to be involved.
Experience in AS9100/ISO9001 manufacturing environment (preferred)
Sound knowledge of inspection techniques and processes (preferred)
Emphasis on personal attributes for success as a Quality Engineer
