Techniche Global is supporting a specialist precision engineering supplier to the Aerospace, Defence, and Oil & Gas industries in appointing a Quality Engineer to join their team in Redruth, Cornwall. Key Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:
  • FAIR creation to AS9102 including dimensional measurement and report creation.
  • Final inspection of component parts from external subcontractors.
  • Programming and ensuring the correct use of automated measuring equipment including coordinate measurement machines, optical measuring systems, profile measurement equipment, and surface test equipment.
  • Inspection of in-house manufactured components.
  • In-house gauge calibration and procurement.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • A passion for learning and skill development.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Engineering and manufacturing experience.
  • A knowledge of measurement and inspection techniques.
  • A background in either machining or inspection.
  • Good computer skills.
  • A willingness to be involved.
  • Experience in AS9100/ISO9001 manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Sound knowledge of inspection techniques and processes (preferred)
  • Emphasis on personal attributes for success as a Quality Engineer
