Engineering Manager

Morva Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation based in Cornwall. This role will focus on maintaining and driving engineering standards across various functions, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the companys product evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the engineering team, overseeing 2-3 Mechanical Engineers, and potentially additional departments within the organisation.
• Own the engineering standards and manage the catalogue of approved product designs.
• Drive standardization and repeatability across design processes, including Autodesk/BIM templates and their integration with tendering processes.
• Ensure compliance with EN 1090 and other relevant industry standards.
• Provide oversight of FEA, hydraulics standards, and value engineering initiatives.
• Take responsibility for rectifying defects in product designs and processes.
• Potentially manage the Process Engineering team, encompassing chemical and biological engineering aspects.

Ideal Candidate:

• Chartered Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent), with strong experience in engineering management.
• Solid understanding of engineering standards.
• Experience in driving product evolution, value engineering and compliance.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with various departments and external stakeholders.
