GSL Education is looking to hire a SEN Learning Support Assistant for a school in Redruth. This role includes aiding small group interventions and promoting positive behaviour in the classroom. Prior experience in a school setting or with children with additional needs would be beneficial.

 

Your responsibilities as a SEN Learning Support Assistant will include:

  • Assisting teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with behavioural and learning challenges.
  • Collaborating with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans.
  • Supporting the overall well-being of students and contributing to a positive school ethos.

Qualifications as a SEN Learning Support Assistant:

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and their implementation in schools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with varied needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or psychology are beneficial.
