Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant
Salary Range: £83.33 Per Day
Location: Redruth
Start Date: October 2024

GSL Education is looking to hire a SEN Learning Support Assistant for a school in Redruth. This role includes aiding small group interventions and promoting positive behaviour in the classroom. The school embraces an inclusive and innovative educational approach, aiming to meet all students’ needs so they can reach their full potential. Prior experience in a school setting or with children with additional needs would be beneficial.
Your responsibilities as a SEN Learning Support Assistant will include:
- Assisting teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies.
- Providing one-on-one support to students with behavioural and learning challenges.
- Collaborating with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans.
- Supporting the overall well-being of students and contributing to a positive school ethos.
Qualifications as a SEN Learning Support Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and their implementation in schools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with varied needs.
- Relevant qualifications in education or psychology are beneficial.
