GSL Education Plymouth is looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to work with our prestigious schools in Redruth.
- Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Drivers wanted)
- Location: Redruth (ACE)
- Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent
- Salary: £80 to £95 per day
As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Redruth, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs. You’ll work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create an inclusive and enriching educational experience.
Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique requirements.
- Assist teachers during lessons, ensuring students remain engaged and focused.
- Implement behavior management strategies and promote positive behavior within the classroom.
- Support students with personal care needs, as required.
- Prepare and organise teaching materials, visual aids, and resources.
- Work collaboratively with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), parents, and external agencies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
Qualifications and Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g., Certificate or Diploma in Childcare and Education).
- Experience working with individuals with severe learning difficulties or other SEN.
- Excellent communication skills and empathy.
