About The Role:

The company are seeking an experienced MOT Tester and Vehicle Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate must have a strong mechanical background. This position involves conducting MOT tests on vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards and carrying out all other aspects of garage work (tyres, servicing, air conditioning, diagnostics etc). They must be a current tester (or within the last 12 months) be reliable and punctual plus be able to work as part of a small team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform MOT tests on various vehicles according to regulatory standards.
  • Identify and report any faults or defects found during the testing process.
  • Maintain accurate records of tests conducted.
  • Provide recommendations for necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Perform servicing and repairs to motor vehicles.
  • Use diagnostic equipment to assess vehicle components.
  • Remove, refit and balance tyres.
  • Service, repair and regas air conditioning systems.

Experience / Qualifications needed:

  • Previous experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar automotive role.
  • Valid MOT Tester license.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems.
