Audit Semi Senior

Reigate

Up to £40,000 (dependent on experience)

AJ Chambers is representing a top 15 firm in search of an Audit Semi Senior. They are looking to fill this role in their Reigate office.

This firm builds strong, trusted client relationships and serve a diverse range of businesses, from entrepreneurs to multinational corporations. They offer a comprehensive suite of services across the UK, driving growth and long-term success.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Planning of audits for review by Manager/Partner
  • Preparation of compliance tests, required paperwork prior to assignment
  • Undertaking assigned tasks on client premises to agreed plan
  • Regular liaison with office or onsite based supervisor whilst undertaking tasks including problem solving
  • Control of own assignment time within pre-determined budget
  • Professional liaison with client and/or client’s staff
  • Completion of work to the satisfaction Manager
  • Accounts finalisation, file completion and tax computations
  • Responsibility for other team members’ in due course, required to assist new trainees, less experienced members in the team

Desired skills/qualifications:

  • Studying professional stage ACA or ACCA, or AAT qualified with experience in practice
  • Basic tax knowledge - how to prepare corporation tax computations
  • Computer experience - Sage, Excel, Word and ideally CaseWare
  • Technical knowledge including recent developments in accounting standards
  • Communication - oral and written, ability to deal with variety of people in different environments
  • Organised - ability to deal with a variety of tasks and managing a varied workload
  • Client focused
  • Commercially aware
