We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our dedicated Finance Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our financial processes, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our supplier invoice handling, and contributing to the overall financial health of our organisation.

Main Duties:
  • Match supplier invoices to authorised orders and process them accurately on the Navision software.
  • Chase up orders and invoices requiring authorisation.
  • Reconcile supplier statements to monthly ledger balances.
  • Liaise with suppliers via telephone and email to resolve any queries.
  • Assist in the preparation for periodic payment runs (4 per month).
  • Scan invoices and credit notes, ensuring proper record-keeping.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger role.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Practical knowledge of spreadsheets and proficiency in Excel.
  • Good verbal communication skills and a polite telephone manner.
  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • A team player who is also capable of working independently.
  • Self-managing with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Minimum grade C in GCSE Mathematics and English Language, or equivalent.
