Building Surveyor Wanted, Part-time, 3 days a week!

Our client is seeking a Building Surveyor to join their team on a part-time basis. The Building Surveyor will be supporting the property and maintenance team. The Building Surveyor will work part-time, 3 days a week in the southeast region.

Key Responsibilities for the Building Surveyor:

  • Assist in identifying solutions for building layouts to meet the people supported's needs
  • Undertake building surveys, both new and existing to inform decisions, appraisals and maintenance plans
  • Project manage several development, extension and refurbishment projects
  • Support with forecast/budgeting
  • Offer technical guidance and defect diagnosis
  • Support the organisation in meeting its environmental/sustainability and net zero targets for its housing stock

Skills Required for the Building Surveyor:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in building surveying (RICS)
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Financial awareness and ability to manage a budget
  • Comprehensive understanding of statutory and legal regulations including planning legislation, Health and Safety, and Fire Safety
  • NEBOSH qualification
  • Maintenance contract procurement and managing building maintenance
  • Experience in stock condition surveys, property maintenance and project management
