Role: Business Development Manager - Software Solutions *Need to close the role before Christmas*Location: Reigate - Hybrid remote 2-3 days in office or on client site Employment: Permanent, full time. Hours: 37.5pw Our client is an established software solutions business, building Android, IOS and web applications for clients across different sectors. They are continuing to grow as a business and this BDM role plays a key part in that continued growth. This company prides itself on a consultative, personal approach and building strong relationships with customers to in turn add value to their businesses. Business development is currently carried out by the Managing Director and Sales Director. The successful candidate will create a strategy to target prospect clients, building relationships and then handing over to the SD and MD once the lead is progressed to closing stages. We are looking for a self starter, who can manage their time and prioritise tasks accordingly. Responsibilities:
  • Conducts thorough research to gain a deep understanding of prospective clients and their business operations.
  • Identifies and organises a pipeline of potential clients, prioritising them based on business alignment, needs, and potential value.
  • Establishes relationships with prospects using an Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategy.
  • Participates in networking events and other industry gatherings to raise awareness of Sonin’s services and generate new contacts.
  • Develops tailored plans for target clients, ensuring consistent engagement throughout longer sales cycles.
  • Keeps informed about industry trends and challenges affecting clients, identifying business problems that align with company offerings.
  • Implements innovative and impactful methods to connect with targeted prospects and key decision-makers.
  • Builds strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across target organisations.
  • Adopts a consultative sales approach to address client needs and propose solutions.
  • Prepares and shares insights, market analyses, and client information with the Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Monitors progress, tracks key metrics, and provides accurate forecasts to support Sales and Operations Planning.
Required Experience:
  • Strong market knowledge and a proven track record in developing new business within a similar industry.
  • Skilled in business management, strategic planning, and team leadership.
  • Exceptional verbal communication abilities.
  • Proactive self-starter with excellent teamwork capabilities.
