Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage local authority capital works projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with regulations, timelines, and budgets.
- Provide expert building surveying advice, including condition surveys, defect diagnosis, and site inspections.
- Prepare detailed specifications, technical reports, and contract documentation for various projects.
- Manage project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and successful project delivery.
- Conduct risk assessments, health & safety assessments, and ensure adherence to building regulations and best practices.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to address any project issues and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Oversee project progress, monitor budgets, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
- Chartered status with a professional body such as MRICS, MCIOB, or MCABE is essential.
- Extensive experience in building surveying with a strong background in project management and delivery of capital works.
- Solid technical knowledge of building construction, surveying methodologies, and legal regulations.
