This school is dedicated to supporting children with a range of special educational needs, and they are seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team and make a real difference in the lives of their students.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide dedicated one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist class teachers in implementing tailored learning plans that meet individual student needs.
  • Support students with a variety of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties. and physical difficulties.
  • Encourage and facilitate student participation in classroom and social activities.
  • Help to create and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other staff to monitor progress and adapt support strategies where necessary.
  • Provide personal care to students when required.
  • Build trusting relationships with students, ensuring they feel supported and valued.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children who have special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help children with SEND succeed.
  • The ability to work well within a collaborative team environment.
  • A proactive approach to learning and supporting students.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEND are advantageous but not essential.
