This is a temporary position for a period of 5 to 6 months. Our client has an exciting role for a Senior Events Manager, at period of growth, to take ownership of a calendar of events for their business, ensuring they achieve their strategic priorities and goals.

Reporting into the Head of Events, you will support all business areas, for both internal and external events, which will include the following; Conferences, Event stands, Incentives and all staff parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside another Event Manager and with support from an Events assistant, delivering up to 20 events per year for a variety of business areas
  • Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Ensure all events are designed and delivered to meet the needs of the business and of individual channels
  • Key involvement in building the group wide events calendar (to include new business activity, internal engagement and any third party event attendance)
  • Own and manage the responsibility of group-wide events and projects to include planning, budget management, stakeholder consultant, liaison & management, event execution and debrief
  • Ownership of hotel corporate rates and bookings across the business
  • Support colleagues with smaller events throughout the year - ensuring maximum time and cost efficiencies are made
  • Manage appropriate external relationships to ensure maximum commercial result
  • Manage, monitor and assess sustainable events approach
  • Stay ahead of the curve in terms of event technology and methodology in the market/industry
  • Flexibility to travel to site visits/external meetings where needed. UK and NI only.

Skills and Experience:

  • Degree/HND/BTEC or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as a Event Manager experience in corporate / in house role
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proven experience managing internal engagement events as well as managing external client/customer events
  • Extremely organised and methodical
  • Ability to think creatively and take on new ideas and thinking
  • Strong communication skills and confidence to negotiate with others, both internally and externally
  • Strong business acumen to be able to read situations and act accordingly
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks at once and at times, work under pressure
