Purpose of the Role: Are you passionate about technology and delivering exceptional support? We are looking for a Deployment Engineer to join our clients team and play a vital role in ensuring the efficient preparation, allocation, and management of our clients devices for employees. Supporting both on-site and remote users, you will oversee the life cycle of hardware assets, maintain accurate records, and provide top-notch assistance during the device transition process.

Your responsibilities will include:

On-Site Device Preparation & Allocation:

  • Unbox and prepare new laptops for distribution, ensuring all devices are correctly asset-tagged and ready for allocation.
  • Verify hardware specifications and accessories to meet program requirements.

Old Device Collection & Data Wiping:

  • Manage the collection of old devices from employees, ensuring proper tracking and retrieval.
  • Coordinate secure data wiping and removal of old devices in compliance with company policies and asset management systems - Intune

Asset Management System Updates:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in asset management systems for both new and returned devices.
  • Ensure devices are reassigned or removed from management systems to facilitate proper life cycle tracking.

Remote User Logistics & Courier Coordination:

  • Facilitate the packaging and shipping of new laptops for remote employees, ensuring timely retrieval of old devices.
  • Collaborate with courier services to manage deliveries and returns effectively.

User Liaison & Support:

  • Act as the main point of contact for employees regarding hardware allocation, addressing questions, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Provide guidance on setup and assist with user-specific concerns related to new devices.

Role Requirements:

  • Proven experience in IT Asset Management/ Hardware Support/ Deployment Engineer roles
  • Demonstrated Intune experience
  • Experience with Secure data wiping procedures and compliance standards
  • Ability to manage logistics and coordinate with courier services
  • Key communication skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders across teams
  • Experience within an Agile and ITSM environments are advantageous
