Billing & Operations Manager

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Billing & Operations Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of the monthly billing cycle for airtime services. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate, efficient billing operations and the smooth management of airtime provisioning processes. Leading a dedicated billing team, you will act as the subject matter expert for key billing and provisioning systems, delivering analytical insights and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthly airtime billing cycle, ensuring all invoices are accurate, validated, and issued on time.
• Maintain the accuracy of billing databases, handling provisioning orders, customer accounts, billing profiles, and rates.
• Process service requests such as activations, deactivations, and package changes while managing any associated fees.
• Provide analytical reports to support senior management decision-making.
• Deliver training and support to internal teams on billing and provisioning systems.
• Validate supplier invoices, liaise with finance teams, and manage purchase ledger activities.
• Lead and mentor a team, ensuring workload management and adherence to SLAs.
• Resolve customer and supplier queries efficiently, ensuring a high standard of service.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in airtime billing and provisioning processes, ideally within a global environment.
• Strong team management skills with a track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis).
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in the Satellite Communications or Telecommunications sector.
• Knowledge of Access or SQL databases.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Navision or Great Plains.
