Kenneth Brian Associates are working on a new role for a company based in Reigate, who have an opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join their team.
This role will work closely with management and the wider team, and will have responsibility for the full purchasing process.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Sourcing products, ensuring that they meet customer specifications
- Delivering the best combination of price, lead time and quality
- Negotiating best prices and payment terms from suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with ethical sourcing policies
- Liaising with in-house logistics team
- Managing customer tenders
- Raising purchase orders and using order processing system
- Maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring that delivery, availability and stock target are achieved
- Researching and introducing new suppliers
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A strong Buying background, in a commercial environment
- Excellent negotiation, time management and communication skills
- Knowledge of international shipping, duties and delivery processes
- Strong IT skills
- Highly organised with strong planning skills
- Strong commercial awareness
