Holden Knight Healthcare is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a local council for an experienced and motivated Supervising Social Worker. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting foster carers and making a positive impact on the lives of children in care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to foster carers to ensure the well-being and stability of children in care.
- Conduct regular visits and assessments to monitor and evaluate the placement and the child’s progress.
- Work collaboratively with local authorities, fostering panels, and other professionals to ensure all statutory requirements are met.
- Offer training, development, and ongoing support to foster carers, helping them meet the needs of children with a wide range of needs and backgrounds.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with council policies and fostering regulations.
- Social Work England registration and a recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
- Experience in fostering or children’s services, with knowledge of fostering legislation and best practices.
- Strong communication and assessment skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with foster carers, children, and multidisciplinary teams.
- A passion for improving outcomes for children in care and providing high-quality support to foster families.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as part of the role.
- Competitive salary between £32,743.20 - £41,000, depending on experience.
