Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, having supported students with Autism and/or complex needs? This could be the perfect role for you!
We are currently recruiting for a SEN Primary School in Reigate, Surrey who are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support KS1/KS2 students with Autism and complex needs. You will be working 1:1 and in small groups with students.
This is a long term role to start as soon as possible and will be with a view to going permanent. The hours will be from 9am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students with Special Needs in the classroom and in the playground
- Work closely with the class Teacher to ensure all students understand the lesson objectives
- Running activities with the students
- Personal care where required
- Creating an inclusive and fun learning environment for all students to reach the best of their abilities
- Dealing with any challenging behaviours
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Experience in working with vulnerable people or this with Special Needs (SEN)
- Passion for working with those with Special Needs (SEN)
- Willing to learn and adapt methods where necessary
- Complete an enhanced DBS check
