Anderson Knight is currently recruiting a Scheduler Buyer on a full-time permanent basis for one of our clients based in Renfrewshire.

The Scheduler Buyer will be responsible for coordinating and managing the procurement and scheduling of materials and services. This role involves ensuring timely delivery of goods, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and supporting the production schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and company goals.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders to replenish stock as needed.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to obtain the best possible deals.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics related to procurement and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including production, quality control, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing with suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and schedules.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve procurement and scheduling processes.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement and scheduling principles.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
