We are looking for a motivated Production Manager to join a market leading company in the UK. You will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. The position will appeal to a strong manager looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.
Role Description
Production Planning & Management:路 Monitor production lines to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality.路 Optimize resource usage (materials, labour, equipment) to minimize waste and reduce costs.路 Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and legal regulations.路 Coordinate with other departments (e.g., R&D, Quality Control, Marketing) to ensure smooth production flow.Quality Control & Compliance:路 Oversee the quality control procedures, ensuring products meet all cosmetic industry standards and regulations.路 Perform routine inspections and audits of the production process to ensure consistency in product quality.Team Leadership & Staff Management:路 Lead and supervise production teams, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.路 Provide training and guidance to staff on safe operating procedures and production best practices.Cost Control & Budgeting:路 Manage production costs and work within budgetary constraints.路 Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and production efficiency.Maintenance & Equipment Management:路 Ensure all machinery and production equipment are properly maintained and functioning optimally.路 Coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and preventive maintenance.Continuous Improvement:路 Implement lean manufacturing practices and encourage innovation to improve production processes.路 Lead efforts to increase productivity, reduce downtime, and minimize defects.路 Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements that can enhance production.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering or Chemistry is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma is preferred
