Machine Shop Supervisor Required!
On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner & Supervisor, responsible for overseeing machining operations, ensuring precision and efficiency, and leading a team to maintain our high standards of quality and performance.
Package:
- £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
- 37 hours per week with early finish Fridays
- Overtime available
- 25 days annual holidays + bank holidays
- Company pension scheme
Machine Shop Supervisor - Responsibilities:
- Programming, Setting, and Operating CNC Machines - Interpret engineering drawings, program CNC machines (Fanuc/Siemens), and produce precision components to exact specifications.
- Oversee machinists, provide technical guidance, and ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment to maintain high-quality output.
- Coordinate workloads, optimise machine efficiency, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Identify process improvements, support Lean initiatives, and ensure routine maintenance of CNC machines for optimal performance.

Machine Shop Supervisor - Requirements:
- Experience of Fanuc control system, to program, set and operate. We would also consider candidates with experience of any of the following Fanuc/Heidenhain/Fagor control systems.
- Be able to programme the machine from a drawing then machine the part with minimum supervision.
- Carry out offline programming at the work centre, training can be given to support this.
- Experience in leading & motivating teams
