The contract is workshop based and FCAW experience is essential as well as experience working on carbon steel. At present the contract is 4-6 weeks, starting ASAP.
Candidates will be required to undertake an inhouse weld test before moving straight onto the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) on carbon steel
- Ensure high-quality welds in compliance with industry standards
- Work in a 6G welding position, adhering to safety and operational protocols
- Collaborate effectively with the team to achieve project goals
- Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment as necessary
- Adhere to project timelines and work schedules
Job Requirements:
- FCAW experience ideally in marine/oil & gas or other heavy industries
- Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and protocols
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Rate of pay - 33.48/h Umbrella co or 25/h PAYE plus 3.02/h holiday pay (which can either be accrued or advanced)
Hours - 54 (4 x 12's Mon - Thurs, 6 Fri)
