On behalf of a busy and highly successful construction company, we are recruiting for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistantto work within the Finance team at their Head Office in Bedford. We are looking for a team player who is highly motivated and able to build and maintain good working relationships.

The hours of work are 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a varied role in a diverse business. Experience of working in a similar field would be advantageous. Training will be provided.


Duties:
Input of accurate data to the sales ledger
Checking and raising of invoices
Dealing with general invoice queries
Working closely with customers to ensure timely payment is received within terms
Input of accurate data to ensure credit control reports are effective
Assisting with weekly payroll
Assisting with subcontractor payments.
General administration and assisting other members of the department as required.


Skills and Experience:
Preferably some experience of working in an accounts department
Ability to work efficiently within a team and on own initiative.
Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate reports.
Excellent telephone manner.
Experience of using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience of database usage would be advantageous.


Qualifications:
AAT Level 2 qualified (preferred but not essential) or similar Accounts qualification or training.
Maths GCSE Grade 4/C or above.
