Our client, a respected and established commercial transport company based in Barlbrough, is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic / PSV Technician to join their maintenance team. This role involves the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a mixed commercial fleet to ensure peak operational efficiency and safety standards. We are looking for a skilled HGV Mechanic / PSV Technician with a background in mechanical and electrical repair for HGVs and other heavy vehicles.
HGV Mechanic / PSV Technician Requirements:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or related discipline.
- Proven experience in HGV / PSV maintenance and repair in a transport, logistics, or commercial environment.
- Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems specific to HGV or PSVs.
- Diagnostic and fault-finding abilities on heavy vehicles.
HGV Mechanic / PSV Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ensuring all safety and performance standards are met.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose, repair, and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Maintain accurate service records and adhere to company maintenance schedules.
- Installation and modification of components and systems as required.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs in a timely manner to reduce downtime.
