You will act as Business Partner and subject matter lead, providing financial information, risks & opportunities and presenting information at key stakeholder meetings.This is an exciting opportunity for a career driven individual.  Capital Accountant key responsibilities:
  • Proactively engaging with business areas and Project Managers to provide reporting, guidance and ongoing education to help them understand capital finances
  • Producing and presenting the month-end dashboards and periods actuals & forecasts
  • Ensuring the budgets and forecasts are assigned to the correct accounting classification
  • Capital planning on the FP&A system, including support of wider finance users on capital accounting
  • Tracking project benefits into the business area P&Ls
  • Continually analysing the cost base to identify opportunities and efficiencies whilst monitoring risks and dependencies
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or strong Qualified by Experience
  • Capital accounting experience
  • Ability to report figures to all levels of management and strong business partnering skills
  • Financial modelling experience including presenting financial risks, opportunities and assumptions
  • Great attention to detail to manipulate data
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
