- Assistant Project Manager opportunity

- Based on Cottam Power Station
- Permanent role, salary £40k to £45k + bens
- Two year fixed term contract starting November 2024
A fantastic opportunity to join the Project Management team on a large, long term, major industrial demolition project at Cottam Power Station.
A brief overview of what's expected:
- Ensure the Company Policies and Procedures and all applicable current statutory regulations are observed.
- Monitor and report against the contract programme and co-ordinate programme deliverables with the wider team.
- Be conversed with the Scope and obligations of the contract with the support of the Contracts Director.
- Coordinate internal programme review meetings on site to ensure accurate reporting on progress and movement.
- Understand the environmental impacts and safety hazards arising from or with regard to the contract works
- Carry out site inspections and audits with senior site supervisory and Health & Safety staff and advise as and where necessary on improving methods of work in compliance with the regulations.
- Work with the site team to ensure subcontractors fulfil their contract obligations for practices that are compliant
- Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the project.
- Assist in compiling relevant data for monthly Contractor Reports.
- Ensures resolution of any issues are reported to immediate line manager or Director Responsible.
- Report directly to Operations/Contracts Director and other business Directors as requested.
- Collaborate with the Site Manager on the demolition and dismantling duties of others.
- Collaborate with the Site Manager for Logistics and Planning of the site.
About you:
- Degree qualified or similar (Civil Engineering, Construction Management)
- At least two years site experience in a similar role (engineer, site manager, QS etc)
- Able to work 5 days a week on site in Retford
