Shorterm group are currently working with an international airline company in their maintenance facility based in Cardiff.

Responsible for managing the purchasing order book ensuring timely delivery of material to meet TRT and other due dates and for being the primary interface with the suppliers, providing delivery information to internal Workshops.
Ensuring that quality standards are adhered to.
Ensuring timely payments are made.
Managing external repairs for allocated workshops, responsible for meeting performance criteria
and for participating in CI initiatives and objectives.
Approving repair quotations and scrap requests, negotiating best value and working on cost saving
initiatives with suppliers.

Location: Cardiff
Shift: Days (37 hours per week)
Pay Rate: 14.71ph PAYE
6 months rolling contract

Reporting to the 'Materials Manager' and working alongside side Planner/Buyer's.
Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of material to meet TRT and other due dates, approving repair quotations and for being the primary interface with suppliers.
Responsible for Expediting external repairs to meet customer requirements.
Dealing with Warranty claims and negotiating warranty claims with suppliers.
The role also involves ensuring that the SAP system is updated with delivery dates and relevant information.

Building, maintaining, and negotiating relationships with suppliers.

Requirements:
Relevant Business/Technical qualification an advantage.
Strong communicator, ability to engage suppliers and influence performance.
Ability to manipulate data in excel, highly.
PC literate
Ability to gather, process and present data in a user-friendly format.
Good written communication skills.
Able to prioritise and judge urgency of work to meet deadlines.


Working experience or knowledge of company processes, procedures and regulatory requirements an advantage
Working experience or knowledge of a buyer or related area and advantage
Able to cope with and work under pressure
