Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare and cook meals and snacks according to pre-set menus, ensuring they are well presented.
- Manage simple stock control, reporting goods to be ordered to relevant senior staff to maintain adequate supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including washing up crockery and utensils, and ensuring proper disposal of waste.
- Be attentive to customers dietary needs and respond to their comments and requests regarding the menu.
- Assist in covering leave for other Kitchen Assistant staff as needed.
- Work hours each week vary, and the shifts rotate. Shifts are 7am – 3pm or 12 noon – 8pm or 2pm – 10pm.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a catering role is essential.
- Must hold Food Hygiene certification
