Freelance Site Manager - Leisure fit out & Refurbishment (Gym)

My client are a fit out and refurbishment contractor that specialise in the retail & Leisure sectors. They have built a strong brand by producing quality projects all around the UK. This has lead to long lasting relationships with blue chip clients.

About the role 

They are looking for a Site Manager to oversee a fit out & refurbishment of a gymnasium in Rhyl. The project will involve a full internal fit out of an existing building with some external and roof works. The project will last around 12 weeks and there is a strong possibility to move on to further work.

Day to day duties 

  • Liaising with Project Manager 
  • Having a proactive and hands on approach on site 
  • Leading by example 
  • Driving a consistent & proactive approach to health & safety on site
  • Manage hazards & risks
  • Ensure all contractors & visitors are thoroughly inducted onto sites
  • Monitor progress of project programme, minimising risks and making sure milestones are being hit
  • Building an understanding of the project budgets to drive efficiencies
  • Oversee contractor performance
  • Produce regular progress reports to the Project Manager

You must have 

  • Fit out & refurbishment experience (Leisure/Gym refurbs highly desirable but not essential)
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS 
  • First Aid 
  • Asbestos Awareness 
  • Fire Marshal 
  • Pro core experience is desirable but not essential
