Hours: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)
Our client, an award-winning manufacturer is looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Engineer to join their engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain efficient production by performing predictive and planned maintenance on equipment, promptly completing ad hoc repairs, and allocating work according to site priorities
- To set up and maintain safe, legal, and efficient engineering operations that grow the site's asset base over time by adhering to the engineering strategy for proactive work and reacting to malfunctions
- Determining the necessity for spares by making sure that stock is at the necessary levels and that the critical spares and spares list are current.
- Report any problems as soon as possible to the engineering manager
- Maintaining a safe working environment by carrying out all servicing and maintenance tasks with the least amount of risk to personnel, goods, and machinery
- Using route cause analysis to pinpoint problems
- Take part in the weekly and daily review sessions to promote site-wide improvement
The person:
- Qualified or time served in both Mechanical and Electrical engineering disciplines
- Computer literate
- Experienced in the use and operation of CMMS
- 3 years' experience within an engineering role
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work alone or part of a team
- FMCG background would be advantageous
