This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office to foster collaboration and engagement with the team.
Key Responsibilities:Month-End Duties:- Assist with preparing prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, stock adjustments, and donation calculations.
- Ensure timely month-end journal entries and accurate close processes.
- Manage sales and purchase ledgers, process purchase invoices, and reconcile customer invoices.
- Handle bank reconciliations and process bank transactions.
- Draft supplier pay-runs and maintain staff expense claims.
- Support credit control functions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Deliver monthly variance analysis of sales against budget/forecast.
- Prepare profitability reports using Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and summarise findings effectively.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Assist with quarterly VAT returns and contribute to quarterly board paper preparation.
- AAT Level 4 qualified or part-qualified ACCA, working towards full certification.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and IF formulas.
- Experience with Xero (essential) and a strong grasp of QuickBooks or similar systems.
- Previous experience in FMCG and/or manufacturing sectors is essential.
