Our clients are owners of a beautiful private gated residential development who are in need of an experienced, reliable and proactive Caretaker to ensure the smooth running of the property by making sure all the communal areas are clean, tidy and with machinery and equipment functioning correctly. The role will be to ensure the smooth running of the building by making sure that all common areas are clean, tidy and with the machinery and equipment functioning correctly. Specifically the role will including cleaning the communal areas of the property including also the gym and sauna area, conducting general maintenance, domestic and recycling refuse removal and rotating bins, security checks, weeding and summer watering. To liaise with the contracted suppliers when they perform their routine service visits or repairs, to ensure the above whilst undertaking minor maintenance and corrective actions as and when they occur. To be conversant with a PC, able to maintain records and communicate via email. Regular building health and safety checks as well as fire detection system checks and recording inspections/checks. Also, to be resourceful, visible and personable member of the community, assisting residents and providing excellent customer service. The greatest need is for the Caretaker is to proactively work on their own initiative. For long periods of time the Caretaker will work alone and must therefore have the ability to get on with solving problems and not await managerial input and should demonstrate a pride in ensuring the effective and smooth running of the building.
