Nexgen Locum has the opportunity of a PermanantNursery practitioner in Richmond upon Thames.

Our client's Friendly Nursery is seeking an enthusiastic and caring individual to join their team, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and stimulating environment where children aged 0-5 years can learn, grow and thrive.

About the role:

  • Work alongside experienced colleagues to provide high-quality care and education for children in a specific age group.
  • Deliver engaging activities and play opportunities that support all areas of children's development, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Build strong relationships with children, fostering trust and encouraging their emotional and social development.
  • Assist with nappy changing, mealtimes, and other routines, ensuring children's comfort and well-being.
  • Observe and document children's progress, communicating effectively with parents and carers.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and clean environment, adhering to all safeguarding and hygiene regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings and training opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge.

What you will need for the role:

  • Qualified Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or equivalent level 3 qualification. (essential)
  • 2 years' Experience in a nursery
  • DBS on the Update Service
  • First Aid certificate with at least 1 year remaining.
  • Passionate about working with young children and committed to their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and resourceful, with a love for play and creativity.
  • Patient, caring, and understanding, with a commitment to nurturing each child's individual needs.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • A good level of written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to complete relevant training and development opportunities.
