We are looking for a skilled and versatile Maintenance Operative with a strong background in building maintenance to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with experience across multiple trades who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities As an integral part of our 10-person team, you will:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, painting, and addressing general wear and tear.
- Prepare properties for new tenancies, ensuring they are in excellent condition.
- Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance to maintain property standards.
- Identify cost-effective solutions for repairs, sourcing suppliers, and managing budgets.
- Ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard, meeting deadlines and budget expectations.
- Proactively troubleshoot and solve a wide range of maintenance issues creatively and efficiently.
- Address tenant issues promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and relevant regulations.
- Contribute to the development of emergency response plans for unexpected maintenance issues.
- Implement and suggest opportunities for improving energy efficiency and sustainability across maintenance processes.
- Work closely with tenancy and block managers to inspect and maintain properties, employing your full range of trade skills.
- Drive company-branded vans and use tools and systems provided, adhering to company standards.
- Interact with clients as needed, explaining ongoing issues and solutions professionally.
- Log repairs and tasks using tech-based systems for accurate record-keeping.
- Technical Expertise: Skilled in basic plumbing, electrics, decorating, carpentry, and plant systems.
- Problem-Solving: Experience with trace and access work, including leak identification and multi-trade repairs.
- Analytical Thinking: Keen observation and diagnostic skills to identify and address issues effectively.
- Communication: Strong reading, writing, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in modern communication tools.
- Independence: Capable of working remotely and managing tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Professionalism: Polished and professional when interacting with residents, clients, and team members.

- Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential
