This is a great opportunity to join a successful business located in North Yorkshire.

Our client runs two very charming traditional country inns, with one dating from the 13th century, providing guests with contemporary accommodation, and great food that is all locally sourced, ensuring their customers have a first-class experience, every time they stay, or visit.

This role would suit an experienced Housekeeper, with excellent standards of work in housekeeping, cleaning, and customer service.

Please note: Although you will be primarily based at one site, you may be required to provide cover for any staff shortages at their other site, which is 25 minutes away.

What we need from you as a Housekeeper:
  • You will need a minimum of 12 months experience working as a Housekeeper or Cleaner
  • Be willing to cover any staff shortages at the other site
  • Can work independently, whilst maintaining a high level of performance
  • Have great customer service skills, professional, friendly, polite, etc
  • Be organised and possess good time management skills
  • Possess good attention to detail
  • Be used to working quickly without compromising on quality
  • Driving Licence would be a bonus
What this role involves:

You will perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, changing bedding, and cleaning bathrooms in accommodation rooms/apartments. Turning them around for the next guests. Other duties include:
  • Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
  • Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
  • Notify Managers of any damages, deficits, and disturbances
  • Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace them where appropriate
  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding Health & Safety and be aware of any company-related practices

Salary: Starting at £12 - £13.50 per hour, depending on experience. Hours of work: 20 40 hours per week. Working part-time or full-time. Core hours are 9am-4pm, shifts available 7 days a week. Days/hours to be negotiated and weekend work will also be required.
