James George Recruitment has partnered with a prestigious Asset Finance House that is looking for a Head of Broker to lead the management of their Broker partners, mainly focusing on financing "Hard Assets".

The size of your team will be 8, including a Team Leader who will be able to look after the day to day team management, allowing you to focus on developing and delivering a strategy for growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

- In conjunction with senior management - develop, agree, and implement the broker strategy for the UK business.

- Achieve Broker target objectives in volume, margin and income.

- Manage and lead the Broker team including all staff reviews, development plans and personnel requirements.

- Participate in the budget process and assist in setting Broker target objectives in volume, margin and income and other operational objectives

- Fulfil role within the senior management team to work with other senior colleagues to achieve broader company objectives including participating in systems, processes and people development projects and other key management requirements.

- Maintain senior contact with leading broker partners through regular external meetings, calls and industry events.

- Where applicable, working alongside Legal, negotiate Broker Trading Agreements review and non-standard transaction documentation.

- Ensure annual broker reviews are conducted by team members.

- Strong knowledge of Credit Risk and ability to discuss credit appeals with Risk team

Your background:

- You are likely to have 10+ years Broker experience and be able to develop their presence in the Broker market via industry boards (FLA, NACFB) and marketing initiatives (industry publications external trade shows, social media etc.)

- Understanding of the requirements to meet all FCA and compliance standards important to the role.

- In depth risk, legal and asset knowledge of broker finance together with the ability to market the company’s products and services.

- Proven experience of working at CEO level

- Good presentation skills and team coaching capabilities

- Must have vision, drive and personal presence.
