We are excited to be opening a brand-new nursery in Ham Street, Richmond in April 2025, and we’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team! Our setting is designed to be a homely, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and develop to their full potential. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a key role in making this vision come to life.

Key Responsibilities of the Early Years Practitioner:

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
  • Support the planning and delivery of activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring a stimulating and engaging environment for the children.
  • Build strong relationships with the children and their families, promoting open communication and collaboration.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress and development, keeping accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, supporting colleagues and encouraging a positive atmosphere.
  • Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and conducive to learning, with attention to hygiene and health and safety regulations.
  • Promote positive behavior and provide support to children as needed, helping to build their social and emotional skills.
  • Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, nap times, and outdoor play.

What We’re Looking For in an Early Years Practitioner:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (required).
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Passion for providing high-quality care and education in a homely, nurturing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive, collaborative atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • A caring, patient, and understanding approach to working with young children.
