Sales Estimator Company Profile:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Sales Estimator to join our growing client. You’ll play a key role in costing enquiries and projects, ensuring the best possible pricing and quality for our clients. If you have a background in a construction-related industry and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you.

Sales Estimator Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design and sales teams to fully understand client needs and prepare detailed quotations from concept to completion.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and installation teams to negotiate competitive pricing while ensuring high product quality.
  • Research and recommend best-in-class solutions and products for all projects.
  • Manage sales team expectations on quotation turnaround times to ensure clear communication with clients.
  • Monitor project costs, avoiding pricing issues that may impact revenue and margin throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in maintaining and developing strong customer relationships, ensuring a high level of service at all stages of the project.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that the client’s requirements are met in full.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Strong experience in estimating projects from concept to completion, with the ability to read and understand drawings and bills of quantities.
  • High proficiency in mathematics, used daily to create precise quotations.
  • Proven experience in a construction-related industry, particularly in estimating and quoting projects.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to respond promptly to internal and client requests.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Business Central or other ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of mezzanine floors, building regulations, and multidisciplinary construction projects.
