Legal Secretary - ConveyancingPermanentFull Time role, based on site37hours per weekSalary up to £31k pro rotaBased in Richmond, LondonMedlock Partners are partnering with a Top 100 Law Firm based in Richmond, who are looking for an experienced legal secretary with a strong residential conveyancing background. The successful person will be assist with ensuring the process runs smoothly and stress free. The ideal candidate will have solid experience within conveyancing and have a strong eye for attention to detail. Key responsibilities of the Legal Secretary:
  • Provide general administration duties across the department 
  • Manage all incoming emails and post 
  • Support senior partners with dictation 
  • Opening and closing of files
  • Assist with drafting contracts and transfer documents
  • Handle inbound calls relating to conveyancing matters from clients and third parties
  • Preparing  completion statements , land registry applications and handling requisitions.
  • Preparing stamp duty land tax returns 
  • Meeting clients face to face, assisting with any queries
  • Building relationships with clients and estate agents     
Key requirements for the Legal Secretary
  • Must have legal secretary experience within conveyancing  
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Confident speaking with clients face to face
  • Strong systems skills and knowledge including MS Office, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to work on own initiative but also part of a team
