We are working with an education provider in West Yorkshire who are looking for a full-time and permanent Mechanical Engineering Tutor/Assessor to join their team.

The role would be split doing two days of teaching at the centre, and then two days of the week travelling to workplaces in the West Yorkshire area to assess apprentices on their practical Mechanical Engineering skills, with the fifth day set aside for paperwork, planning and meetings.

The starting salary for this position is up to 36,364 per annum, which would also include a very generous Teacher's Pension (with employer contributions of 28.68%), business mileage payment of 45p per mile, and a holiday allowance of 35 days (plus Bank Holidays and closure days).

To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
-A level 3 engineering qualification
-6 or more years of post-apprenticeship industry experience
-A teaching qualification
-Experience of teaching in a classroom setting
(preferably in Mechanical Engineering)

Please note that if you do not already have an Assessor award, they would be able to upskill you through this (and fund the qualification for you) while you are on the job.
