Job Description:
As a Maths Teacher at Heston Commuinty School, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 students. You will play a key role in developing students' understanding, skills, and love for mathematics, while also preparing them for exams and ensuring they reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Prepare students for internal and external exams, ensuring they achieve their best results.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum.
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Support the pastoral care of students and contribute to their personal development.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum at [Key Stage/GCSE/A-Level] level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students.
- Experience in using a range of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience teaching [Key Stage/A-Level] Maths (if applicable).
- Knowledge of the latest developments in teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
