High Level Teaching Assistant | HLTA (Richmond, SW London)

As a HTLA you will support teaching and learning by taking on additional responsibilities and providing high-quality assistance to classroom teachers.

You will be required to work with individuals and groups of students, helping to deliver learning activities and manage classroom environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality instruction.
  • Assist in planning and implementing educational activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
  • Track and report on student progress and development.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior interventions.
  • Prepare teaching materials and resources.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities.
  • Knowledge of educational software and technology. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. - Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or child development. - Enhanced DBS check clearance.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Additional training or qualifications in SEN support.
