High Level Teaching Assistant | HLTA (Richmond, SW London)
As a HTLA you will support teaching and learning by taking on additional responsibilities and providing high-quality assistance to classroom teachers.
You will be required to work with individuals and groups of students, helping to deliver learning activities and manage classroom environments.
Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality instruction.
- Assist in planning and implementing educational activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
- Track and report on student progress and development.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior interventions.
- Prepare teaching materials and resources.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities.
- Knowledge of educational software and technology. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. - Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or child development. - Enhanced DBS check clearance.
Preferred:
- Experience in a similar role
- Additional training or qualifications in SEN support.
