Higher Level Teaching Assistant | Location: Richmond Upon Thames, KT2 | Payscale: £94-£120 | Long-term to Permanent | ASAP Start

Are you an experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a fulfilling role in a supportive and positive working environment? We are currently collaborating with a vibrant Primary School in the Richmond upon Thames area seeking a dedicated and experienced HLTA to join their proactive and collaborative team and support children across Key Stage 1.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Prepare and deliver engaging learning activities for individual pupils, small groups, and whole class.
  • Be prepared to adapt to adapt quickly to change and help out in various areas/classes across the school.
  • Support Key Stage 1 students, including those with SEN, to enhance their educational progress.
  • Assist the class teacher and work on class preparations to be able to deliver lessons in the absence of a teacher.
  • Help with classroom preparation and assist with lesson planning.

Candidate criteria:

  • Level 4 Higher Level TA qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Have a positive, patient personality and ability to remain resilient in difficult situations.
  • Experience working in a primary school, including children with SEN is essential.
  • Have a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Have excellent collaborative and communication skills.
  • All applicants must have an enhanced DBS to be considered.
