This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading train operators in the North of England with a strong track record of investing in their staff. This is an initial 6-month contract with a great opportunity to be taken on permanently as the organisation continues to expand their workforce.

 

The Role

We are currently looking for an individual to join the day cleaning team who are tasked with ensuring the trains meet a high standard of cleanliness before resuming service. This will involve full interior cleaning with tasks including mopping, hoovering and touch point cleaning as part of the interior cleaning team at Neville Hill depot.

This role has an existing 2 week rolling rota, on a Sunday – Saturday basis. Therefore, full flexibility is required.

Here is an example of your expected shift pattern.:

Week 1: Sunday & Monday off, Tuesday on, Wednesday & Thursday off, Friday and Saturday on.

Week 2: Sunday & Monday on, Tuesday off, Wednesday & Thursday on, Friday & Saturday off.

Working from 07:30am – 17:30pm

Pay Rate & Benefits

The pay rate for the train cleaner position will be at £12.00 per hour on an initial 6-month basis.

About You

Ideally, you will be experienced within a vehicle/industrial or house cleaning environment.

You will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in delivering a clean and safe environment clean for customers.

Training is provided covering depot protection, site safety and cleaning solutions. Work is undertaken in a safety critical environment so you will be required to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screening.

The day shift is on a rotating 2-week roster plan covering the times of 07:30am – 17:30pm with the flexibility to work on weekends. Overtime is often available at managements discretion.

Training is provided for depot protection, site safety and cleaning solutions. Work is undertaken in a safety critical environment so you will be required to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screening.
