This role is for a team playing senior electrical design engineer, you will join the MEP team of an established multi-disciplinary design consultancy. You will work on complex and high specification design and/or construction projects, creating or upgrading industrial, process, research, commercial and public buildings. Project are based throughout the UK and Europe
You will join a team committed to high standards of engineering with a focus on sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Detailed design drawings with a specialisation in electrical system design.
- Preparing specifications and schedules and design development reports.
- Taking projects through from inception to completion and handover.
- Undertaking survey work.
- Production of feasibility reports.
- Attend site progress meetings and review installations.
- Supporting junior staff.
- Maintaining good client relationships.
- Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams.
Experience Required
- Preferably a bachelor’s or master’s degree in building services or electrical engineering.
- Solid electrical design experience in the building services sector.
- Chartered or working towards chartership would be advantageous although not essential.
- Great interpersonal skills, a team player and a genuine interest in helping others.
