About The Client: We are a company that works closely with pharmaceutical clients, R&D, and maintenance/facilities companies to design and build pharmaceutical-style projects, including laboratories, packaging lines, replacement of substations, facility upgrades, etc. Our project values range from £3 million to £25 million. We manage the entire project from a consultancy and contractor point of view.

Role Overview: We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong design capabilities who has overseen projects from start to finish from a design perspective. The ideal candidate can independently handle tasks, possesses hands-on experience, and will work with internal teams like mechanical, architectural, and structural departments to ensure project success. You will have vast experience working on building services projects, especially electrical systems such as cabling, lighting and power.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce concept, preliminary, and detailed designs

  • Provide support during the construction stage

  • Accumulate and coordinate specific information from clients

  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and data gathering

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project completion

  • Develop detailed calculations and functional layouts

  • Prepare sketches, drawings, schedules, and specifications

Qualifications:

  • Desired, Chartered status or membership of a professional institute (e.g., IET, CIBSEetc.)

  • Desired, Degree in building services or electrical engineering

  • Strong experience in electrical engineering design (Pharmaceutical project experience is a plus)

  • Proficiency in relevant software such as CAD, Amtech, and Relux
