Job description

Transport Planner / Administrator required for a family-owned business in waste management . Our client prides themselves on their inclusive environments that drive fun, wellbeing, and high performance across all that they do. You really are joining a family and not just a business.
Reporting Lines:
You will report into the Transport Manager at the Rickmanworth
Focus areas of the role:
The success of the role will be measured against the effective implementation of the following focus areas:
• Effectively plan and distribute work as required.
• Manage and control the Transport booking in for all sites.
• Manage the day-to-day compliance of the department alongside instructions as set out by the Transport Manager. Ensuring the Drivers follow Hours regulations.
• Keep systems updated with driver holidays and sickness.
• Assist the Transport Manager to plan all vehicle inspections, or compliance events.
• Ensure that the department administration is completed, checked, and filed as required.
• Improve the standards across the transport department.
• Ensure health and safety requirements are met across the department with improvement where possible.

To be successful in this role you will need the following skills, behaviours, and abilities:

• Be a team player with the willingness to succeed.

• Must have some Haulage experience 
• Have good organisational skills.
• Be able to build relationships with work colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
• Excellent attention to detail, friendly and helpful nature
• Proactive and enthusiastic
• Strong PC Literacy including Word & Excel
Monday Friday - 7am -5pm
