Academics are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Year 4 Primary Teacher to join a forward thinking school based in Rickmansworth on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the experiences of the schools Year 4 students. This role requires a dedicated teacher with a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and a passion for inspiring young minds.

Position: Year 4 Primary Teacher (Full-Time)

Location: Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire

Start Date: November 2024

Planning and Delivery:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of Year 3 students.
  • Implement a variety of teaching strategies and resources to facilitate active learning and comprehension.
  • Foster a stimulating and interactive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning.

Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Regularly assess and monitor student progress through formal and informal assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic and personal development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behaviour.

Classroom Management:

  • Establish and enforce clear classroom rules and expectations to create a positive and orderly learning environment.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to address and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Encourage positive relationships and mutual respect among students.

Pastoral Care:

  • Support the social and emotional well-being of all students, fostering a caring and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Act as a mentor and role model, promoting positive attitudes and values.
  • Liaise with parents and carers to provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns.

School Engagement:

  • Actively participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities.
  • Support the school's ethos and values, contributing to the broader school community.
  • Engage with local stakeholders and the wider community to enrich the students' learning experiences.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably with Year 4 students.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
