Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Overview

Supporting the commercial team with cost management and financial reporting.
Assisting with procurement, subcontractor management, and valuations.
Preparing and issuing payment applications and processing payments.
Assisting with cost forecasting and budget tracking.
Preparing and reviewing variations, change orders, and final accounts.
Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project success.
Producing reports and assisting with commercial negotiations.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements

Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
Minimum of 6 months' experience in a Quantity Surveying role (any sector considered).
Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Good understanding of construction contracts and financial management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
