Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Rickmansworth, offering excellent progression and growth opportunities.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Overview

  • Supporting the commercial team with cost management and financial reporting.
  • Assisting with procurement, subcontractor management, and valuations.
  • Preparing and issuing payment applications and processing payments.
  • Assisting with cost forecasting and budget tracking.
  • Preparing and reviewing variations, change orders, and final accounts.
  • Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project success.
  • Producing reports and assisting with commercial negotiations.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in a Quantity Surveying role (any sector considered).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of construction contracts and financial management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
