Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Overview
- Supporting the commercial team with cost management and financial reporting.
- Assisting with procurement, subcontractor management, and valuations.
- Preparing and issuing payment applications and processing payments.
- Assisting with cost forecasting and budget tracking.
- Preparing and reviewing variations, change orders, and final accounts.
- Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project success.
- Producing reports and assisting with commercial negotiations.
Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in a Quantity Surveying role (any sector considered).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Good understanding of construction contracts and financial management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
