Furthermore, you will contribute to safeguarding efforts, attend court when necessary, and maintain accurate records to support statutory compliance.Additionally, you will:- Work closely with internal departments and external agencies to provide integrated services- Attend rough sleeper sightings to provide support and guidance- Manage housing register applications and temporary accommodation allocations- Represent the department at multi-agency meetings and case conferences- Stay up to date with housing legislation, case law, and best practicesAbout YouTo be considered as a Housing Options Officer, you will need:- Experience of working in a customer service and/or housing environment- Experience of managing caseloads requiring detailed investigations- Knowledge of equal opportunity issues and their practical application- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities- A commitment to delivering high-quality services with attention to detail- A GCSE standard education (or equivalent) including English and Maths- A current driving licence and access to transportA basic DBS / Enhanced DBS check will be carried out for this post.The closing date for this role is 1st of January 2025.Other organisations may call this role Housing Advisor, Homelessness Prevention Officer, Housing Support Officer, Housing Assistance Officer, or Housing Solutions Officer.Webrecruit and Three Rivers District Council are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
